In 2017, with the continuing emergence of 360 video as a format, Milivoj Ilic became interested in creating a series of moving image portraits which explored not just the subject but the subject’s surroundings. The artist had used sound before in Sophie Sleeping but this was the first time the portraits incorporated the ambient sound captured at the location during the recording process.

Within the 360 experience, it was now possible for the viewer to become immersed in the world of the subject, to experience, the illusion of wandering through a personal or workspace in an attempt to know the subject more intimately.
